New FM Guitarist Announced

We have the greatest pleasure in introducing Jim Kirkpatrick to you, the new FM guitarist.

Jim lives near Steve in Cheshire and they’ve worked together on numerous occasions. On hearing of Andy’s departure Jim called Steve to ask if he could come down and try out for the gig, a rehearsal was booked and Jim blew us away with his guitar playing. We went through oldies and threw him in the deep end with some of the new tracks we’d written which he’d obviously never heard before. Although apparently being seriously nervous, “absolutely sh***ing myself” were Jim's actual words, we were totally impressed with his tasteful, melodic guitar playing, he stamped his mark on the old and new songs alike. It was clearly apparent there was no need to look any further, Jim fitted the bill perfectly and he was promptly offered the job before even the gear was packed away.

Jim was born in 1979 in Cheshire and has been playing since he was at school. He’s played at many major festivals throughout the world including V, T In The Park with Thea Gilmore and has recently been working with Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake). He released his own album Changed Priorities in 2006 and played on Thea Gilmore’s Cheap Tricks, Harpos Ghost and Loft Music albums. Jim’s influences come from a wide range of artists including Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Little Feat, Ry Cooder, Thin Lizzy Rory Gallagher, Metallica, The Beatles, Paul Rodgers, Brian Wilson, Queen, B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Gram Parsons, Elvis, Free, Deep Purple and Guns N Roses.

We are really excited about this new chapter in the bands career, Jim’s enthusiasm is infectious and we’re raring to show you guys what we can do.

Like us we’re sure you’ll welcome Jim into the band with open arms, he’s a great guy and an amazing guitarist. Let the fun begin!
