I saw you opening for Meat Loaf at the Philipshalle in Duesseldorf, Germany during his Bad Attitude Tour, and have been a vivid fan ever since. I am the proud owner of the Maxi-Vinyl "Frozen Heart" and all the LPs/albums/CDs ever since - thanks to NEH Records and Mike in Colorado. "Indiscreet" is a true classic, and you became a big part my life. Can't wait for the next 25!
Greetings from the US of A,

Rainer

25 years! Well bugger me!

I remember seeing the band supporting Gary Moore at Hammy O back in September 85 with my good friend Darren Mullett and thinking WOW!!! I had no idea who the band were or what they were called.
Skip forward to April 86 and I heard That Girl on the Radio One on a Saturday lunchtime. This time I caught the name of the band and off I went in search of vinyl at the local independent record store (remember those????). I got of the record and found out I'd missed the first single release of Frozen Heart, which I duly ordered there and then. I saw in Sounds or Melody maker that the band were playing the Marquee in Wardour St, London only a few day later. Darren & I headed off down there and managed to get ourselves at the front in front of Chris (this became our usual spot at FM gigs for a while). At the gig we heard what was to become Indiscreet plus a few others for the first time.
Numerous Marquee gigs, Reading Festival, the support slot with Magnum at St Albans City Hall and the first shows at The Astoria followed, by this time there were 4 of us regularly attending the gigs. I think I have the album on record, cassette & CD. All I need know is the re-mastered deluxe special edition re-release with all the b-sides etc and I'll have the full set (HINT! HINT!!!!).
Indiscreet is simply one of the best opening albums I've heard from any band ... straight up, no bull. It still reminds me of many good times with Darren, who sadly is no longer with us to see this anniversary.
Huge, huge thanks to Steve, Pete, Chris, Merv & Didge for making such a great great record and starting the road that leads us all here today.
And huge, huge thanks to Steve, Pete, Merv, Jem & Jim for being here today and still being hungry enough to give us the best they possibly can.

I've been blasting out the Indiscreet cd this morning and I thought about the Frozen Heart Double Pack single (with the live recordings of Hot Legs and Addicted To Love). And I remember being at an FM gig at the old Marquee and Steve announcing Love Lies Dying as the bands's new single just prior to the band playing it. Surely there must be complete recordings of those early gigs when they were promoting the album? And if so, what are the chance of another warts and all release, ala, Live At The Astoria?

WOW! I remember I used to play this 'LP', yes thats right 'LP' over and over and over again each night! 25 years later i'm not bored with it and still love it just as much...
I still get major goosebumps when I hear 'I belong to the night!'

Here's to another 25!!

What can you say about an album that is a true classic, apart from how didn't sell more?

It was a perfect "Autumn" album for me, I remember listening to it on my Walkman going to college everyday. 25 years on and it is still in my car CD player - especially this time of year.

Looking forward to the "live" celebration already, not to mention the new material.

Someone posted on here what about re-recording it.....no need, you couldn't have done it any better.

Best Wishes

DB

Bloody hell..remember scouring the shops when I was away for a wedding in Blackpool , and paying about £8 for a cassette copy which then dominated my musical landscape for months..happy days, thanks for creating them, guys . Then saw you supporting Magnum in St Albans and was hooked for life !
